Look forward to our signature warmups; a costume parade, "Simon Sez" and Kazoo songs; as well as chimenea fires and hot beverages to welcome our swimmers out of the surf.

The Pelican Plunge has become one of our favorite annual fund-raising events! All donations benefit the Discover Carolina' SC State Park Programs (Beaufort County, South Carolina Schools) through sponsorship of individuals and teams.

Seawater temperatures average 54 degrees F. in December (source=NOAA) at Charleston, SC. All participants receives a "I Took the Plunge" sticker. Commemorative tee-shirts are available for sale through the Park Store (843)838-2953.

Each year, the total raised is over $4,000 to benefit students at the Hunting Island State Park programs. At left you may make an additional donation in support of the plungers.
